HARRY HAS A RUCK MINNEAPOLIS, June 29, 2007 – Winsted Limited's General Manager, Harry Whale, played in a charity rugby match on June 16th to commemorate the 25th Anniversary of the Falklands War, and managed to break some ribs and tear two hamstrings in the process. "Like most friendly rugby matches, this one was competitively fought, and fittingly ended in a draw 33-33." said Harry. "We did, however, achieve our objective of commemorating the 25th anniversary of the Falklands War - and at the same time raised money for the South Atlantic Medal Association." The Association provides invaluable support for many of the 777 men wounded in action during the Falklands War, many of whom struggle to lead normal lives while suffering from post traumatic stress disorder. Harry played for the Task Force team, which was selected from units that fought in the conflict, and who were combined services players at the time. The opposing team, Penguins XV, included many well-known names from the world of rugby. The match referee and his team of officials were all Falklands veterans. Major General Julian Thompson CB, OBE, Commander of 3 Commando Brigade during the conflict, was on hand to present the Task Force Trophy. "It was a privilege to take part in an event that raised a large amount of money for such a worthwhile cause." added Harry.
