NICHOLAS GORDEUK NAMED GENERAL MANAGER OF WINSTED TECHNICAL INTERIORS

MINNEAPOLIS, July 19, 2007 – Winsted Corporation announces the appointment of Nicholas Gordeuk as general manager of the company's custom division, Winsted Technical Interiors (WTI). His extensive background as an in-house architect specializing in control room renovations includes projects within fossil fuel power plants, nuclear power plants, chemical plants, pulp and paper mills, textile mills and a variety of other process control industries.

Gordeuk, who is an architectural engineer, worked with WTI in the early 1990's (when the company was known as The Human Factor) on the DC Cook Nuclear Plant in Michigan as well as several hydro plants. His previous tenure with the company combined with his own diverse experience designing control rooms for power, process control and automation makes him uniquely equipped to manage this thriving Winsted division.

"Today, we do a lot of work in the security and broadcast markets. However, what we're known for is the tremendous amount of work we've done in the nuclear and power industries," said Gordeuk. "One of my goals is to recapture some of that market. Deregulation has shrunk a lot of budgets and in order to stay competitive these utilities will have to improve their processes, and that's where we come in. I see a lot of opportunity there."

Additionally, in order to enhance his division's capacity to manage the inevitable increase in number of projects, Gordeuk plans to develop new systems within WTI to streamline workflow from initial client contact to shipping the final product.

Winsted Technical Interiors, the custom division of Winsted Corporation, has been a leader in control room design for the power industry since 1981, specializing in the design, development, fabrication and installation of custom workstation consoles for complex technical environments. Winsted Technical Interiors installations can be found in nuclear power plant control rooms, military command centers and communications centers around the world.
